Michael Prieve was born in Burbank, California and grew up in Ventura County. In 1987, after graduating with honors from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, he joined Wieden + Kennedy in Portland, Oregon. As an Art Director, Michael created advertising for Nike, helping to usher in a greater emphasis on design and style, working with such athletes as Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson and Charles Barkley.

While at Wieden + Kennedy Michael became the Creative Director for the Nike brand in Asia and eventually moved to Amsterdam to become the Creative Director for Wieden + Kennedy in Europe. He was responsible for the management of the office and the creation of work for clients such as Nike and Coca-Cola. He later became the Creative Director on the global Microsoft account before moving to Wieden + Kennedy New York, where he was responsible for the management of the office and the creation of work for clients such as Jordan, ESPN and Calvin Klein.

He has also held the position of Executive Creative Director at FCB in San Francisco, working for Levi Strauss & Co. and at Doremus, Omnicom's premier business communications agency, creating work for clients such as Knight Capital Group and Russell Investments.

In addition, Michael has accepted international invitations to speak about his work. He has also won awards at Cannes and the Grand Prize at the Tokyo Art Director's Club Show.

Michael is currently the Creative Director at World Wildlife Fund.
